Gann’s Cycles Weekly S&P 500 Forecasts Weekly S&P 500 Index Since the weekly setup on April 10, the U.S. index has risen sharply, posting a return three times its average. From 6,316 points, the S&P 500 reached a high of 7,620 points during the week of June 5. The Low Square of June 5, 2026, halted the U.S. market’s advance, which had been ongoing for eight weeks without ever testing a new low. In fact, it created a moderate trading range rather than a true correction. Prices, in fact, fluctuated between 7,620 and 7,237 until the week of August 7: the new upward momentum in early August pushed prices out of the short-term sideways range. The next key market signals will emerge during the weeks of September 18–25. Reaching 7,840 will confirm the resumption of a positive trend in the short term: resistance levels around 7,900 and 8,050. Support levels for a negative sideways regression are at 7,450 and 7,250. Medium-term trend of the U.S. S&P 500 index Monthly S&P 500 Index Since April 2026, the U.S. market trend has been positive. The Low Squares coinciding with last February and March had, in fact, broken down the previous uptrend that had been in place since May 2025. However, as soon as the Index reached the Drift—that is, the upward 1X1 angle depicted by the red vector in the 6,315 area—prices surged higher, reversing the negative start to the year and reaching new all-time highs. Since April 2026, we’ve seen five months of gains without breaking below a previous low: from 6,474, the S&P 500 Index rose to a high of 7,816 points in August. In September, we have a new monthly setup: a break above 4,420 will signal a continuation of the upward trend, with initial targets at 8,050; 8,390. Conversely, a return below 7,480 points will signal the first real weakness in the U.S. market: initial support levels are around 7,370 and 7,240. Quarterly Technical Analysis of the U.S. Stock Market S&P 500 Quarterly The long-term trend is bullish despite the uncertainty that emerged in the first quarter of 2026. The quarterly stock market signal that expired in the second quarter of 2026 shifted the swing chart to an upward trend, pushing U.S. market prices toward the Zero angular resistance level at 7,670. Next targets: the 8,300-point area.
