2026 OIL FORECASTS: ANALYSIS AND SIGNALS USING THE GANN METHOD
Weekly WTI Crude Oil

The sharp upward surge in oil prices in March of this year was not followed by a positive trend in the subsequent months, but instead gave rise to a new sideways trend that fluctuated between negative and positive movements.

As can be seen from the technical chart above, a sideways range between $110.79 and $79 formed during the weeks of April and May.

The price oscillation between the static octaves and the 1X4 and 1X1 angles ended with the market signal expiring on May 22.

WTI’s bearish break below $94.30 during the week of May 29 marked the end of the sub-sideways phase:

the new 6-week downtrend brought prices to the 1X8 and 1X4 angles—plotted in blue and purple—at $67.07 during the first week of July 26.

The subsequent weekly setups on August 7 and August 22, 2026, laid the groundwork for a new technical rebound, confirmed by the Low Squares of September 4–11:

both of which were broken to the upside, indicating the continuation of the short-term uptrend.

The first resistance levels are in the $93 and $100–101.50 ranges.

Only a drop back below $83.80 will signal a return to weakness: support is in the $87.40 range.

WTI Oil Price Trends Using the Gann Method
Monthly WTI

The new bull campaign, as evidenced by the months of January through March 2026, is still in its early stages.

In fact, in June 2026—when the Bottom Square pattern expired—we witnessed a correction, foreshadowed by the first sharp decline in April.

However, the next signal is expected in September 2026:

A break above $93.80 will signal a new upward trend in oil prices.

Initial targets are $102–$103.

This does not mean the start of an uncontrolled uptrend.

Only subsequent signals will indicate whether the gains will be robust.

A correction from the initial targets will signal the start of a new medium-term accumulation phase.

Only a return below $66.70 will indicate a structural—rather than merely technical—breakdown in WTI.

Support levels are in the $77 range.

Quarterly WTI Crude Oil

Massimo’s Square, which expired in the first quarter of 2026, signaled a new long-term uptrend.

Next targets: $110, $127.

Only a drop back below $55 would undermine the quarterly bullish outlook.

Support levels around $57.90.
